We're big fans of the Thunderbird here at Mom and Dad's Music. If it's good enough for Muddy, it's good enough for us! This guitar is very lightweight and incredibly versatile with quirky but useable electronics. Extremely comfortable to play with a fantastic feeling neck profile. These new Guild T-Bird guitars are the absolute coolest. He was voiced by Michael Donovan.This brand new guitar features asymmetrical solid mahogany body, two Guild LB-1 humbucking pickups, two pickup on/off switches, rhythm/lead switch, bass cut switch, two volume controls and two tone controls with black reflector top knobs with Guild shield logo, large multi-ply black pickguard, tune-o-matic bridge, Hagstrom Vintage tremolo tailpiece with bar, mahogany C shape neck, asymmetrical headstock with Guild and Thunderbird logos, bone nut, 1 11/16" nut width, bound pao farro fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays and medium jumbo frets, Grover Sta-Tite open back 18:1 tuners, nickel plated metal hardware, two metal strap buttons, and black finish. He's mostly a source of comic relief, although he instructs the trio in the use of their new powers and builds the Toadster for them out of an old wrecked car.
Bird appeared in the animated series pilot as Princess Angelica's only remaining ally, and the one who concocts the plan to create a new generation of Battletoads to protect her from the Dark Queen. Bird is often seen in the cutscenes of the games and occasionally gives the player good advice about upcoming obstacles dwelling in the levels, being also somewhat notorious for mocking the Battletoads on the continue screens. He is known to have an enormous intelligence and great magical talent said to rival even the Dark Queen's own powers, though he has renounced the use of magic in favor of science. He's a enigmatic individual who serves as the 'toads mentor, being affectionately referred by them as "Coach". Bird appears as a scrawny vulture, wearing blue pants and either a lab coat or a sweater with the number 8 stamped on the front.
